Last week I conducted a teacher training on some strategies for teaching ESL.
Here is a great little detail of this photo. See those circles on the floor? That’s where they used to have stationary desks made of concrete that were permanently attached to the floor. When Gopal and I came here in 2000, one of our first recommendations was that they move to more flexible furniture. Now they have doubled the size of the classrooms and use low tables where kids sit on the floor for more small group work.
